FAQs

We understand that entrusting your pet to a new caregiver can be a daunting experience. That's why we have compiled a list of frequently asked questions to address any concerns you may have.

I booked months ago, are my dates still secured?

We pride ourselves on securing all bookings by signing our Pet Sitting Contracts with you. Legally, we are both bonded through this document; therefore, your dates are secured!

What qualifications do you have?

We are all qualified in Level 3 Advanced Pet First Aid, some of us are currently studying an animal related BSc (hons), such as Veterinary Medicine and Veterinary Nursing, and a few others have already graduated in animal related degrees. Laura is a qualified hydrotherapist.

Do you mind if I have cameras in the house?

We do not mind working with cameras in the house, in fact, we believe these are important in the event of sudden seizures, accidents, etc. We only require you to let us know where are these placed, what setting are these on (Live or recording) and if there is Audio setting. If your cameras are recording we require you to let us know for how long do you keep the records for. This is to protect our privacy under the Data Protection Act 2018 and for GDPR purposes.

Do I have to pay you in full beforehand?

All our clients have up until the previous 48h before the booking starts. From the moment you book with us and until then, you can pay us whenever suits you better and the amount that works best for you.

I'm very anxious about leaving my pet, would you mind to visit us a few times before we go away?

We would love to visit you and your pet before you go away, the most important thing is that you feel comfortable with us!

What happens if we have to cancel our holidays?

According to our cancellation policy, if you have to cancel before your holidays, you'll get a full refund if your notice falls within the time required by Pawsome Kingdoms. Otherwise, if a late cancellation happens, according to our Terms and Conditions stated in the contract you'd have signed and agreed to, a 30% fee would be kept on our side.

What if you fall ill?

We pridely work together as a tag-team, so in the event of one of us falling ill, another sitter would step in to have you covered. Everyone has been trained to the same standards, so the only difference would be that the communication and photos would come from a different person for what is left of your booking.

Could we meet before I book with you?

Yes, of course! We always arrange a Meet and Greet with one or two of us, so that you get to know also who'd cover your Sitter in the event of an illness or emergency.

Do you do boarding?

Unfortunately we don't do boarding.

For how long would you keep my personal details in your records?

We keep them for as long as it's necessary. This means you will select on your contract for how long and what do you want us to do with your details. We offer a Birthday Scheme for new pets that come to Pawsome Kingdoms, and pawrents automatically enroll the Pawsome Kingdoms Loyalty Gift. However, if we don't hear from you in three months, we would destroy all your data. There is not a time limit under the Data Protection Act, so employers, companies and businesses are asked to keep records for as long as it's necessary. At Pawsome Kingdoms we understand holidays are not something you plan every week, therefore we choose to keep those records for three months to give you time to organise a new adventure before we destroy your paperwork.

Do you walk dogs off lead?

We only walk dogs off lead if they have an excellent recall and following owner instructions. Some dogs might be reactive, but if you are happy with us taking them to a secured field where they'd be roaming freely without other dogs, then we can arrange this!

If none of these gives you the answer you are looking for, please, by all means drop us an email, gives us a call, or send us a message via chat. We want you to feel as calm and confident as possible before making a definite decision!
